Decide if you're wasting too much money on fads, by assessing the last five items you've purchased.
If three or more are touted as the season's "must-haves," you're in danger of being a fashion victim.
Examine your closet to see if more than half of your wardrobe is already out of style according to your favorite fashion sources.
Now, ask yourself if you are buying fashion fads because you really like them or you use them like a fashion security blanket.
If you decided you always buy all of the fads because you really like them, you're not telling the truth so you might as well just stop here.
If you decide you use fads as a fashion security blanket, follow the next steps.
Never wear more than two trends together if possible.
Stop referring to your clothing by designer (the Gucci jacket, the Dior bag) and just call them by the item name.
Before buying your next designer item, ask yourself if you'd like the item if it didn't have the chi chi logo: if yes, then buy it.
Never, ever wear your sunglasses indoors.

Remember that celebrities often overdo trends for maximum photo impact; they may not translate well for you on a day-to-day basis.

My Style Factory which held in Lagos on the 23^rd of July, 2012, at the Social place, 33 Sinari Daranijo, Victoria Island was quite well attended despite the very wet Sunday. The event which was its first edition was in three sessions, there was training session and exhibition session. There were three speakers (facilitators) present at the training session.

The first part of the session was taken by Doctor Vivian Oputa, a skin care specialist, who educated guests on how good skin can be achieved by eating well (Balanced diet). The second session was taken by Bola Aaron, the Avante garde Gourmet; he taught guests how to prepare three types of HORS D’OEUVRES. While the last was Ewar , who had all the ladies on their feet each trying their hands on the art of gele tying .

The exhibition session was loaded with ten exhibitors ; GLOVEIL CONCEPT, PEARL SHOP, MARYAH-O, VELVET CHOCOLATE, UNVEIL, PBAND,ANNIE’S SHOE, XELA and MONEHI COLLECTIONS, who had their various products displayed, such as hair, makeup, home accessories, clothings, shoes, and all sorts of items which were all at discounted prices and was highly purchased by guests. Refreshments? Yes! There was free cocktail, and lot to eat. The event which started by 1PM and ended by 6:40PM was fun all through.
