Double debut for Prinatan Fashion and Entertainment

Prinatan Fashion and Entertainment is a contemporary business interest with its fingers in publishing, entertainment, promotions and clothing. It is the mother company of Ella Magazine, a 60-page bi-monthly all-gloss and all-colour publication - both brands were launched over the weekend at the prestigious Oriental Hotel .Victoria Island, Lagos.

The event which employed a stone in hunting two birds. Same day, time and venue the Prinatan Clothing Line was officially unveiled making the evening a beehive of activity from runway experience to musical delight with the launch of the thriller debut Ella Magazine leading the high octane guests to a night of a million laughs.

ABOUT ELLA MAGAZINE . Ella Magazine is an unconventional publication that seeks to report a bit of practically everything that enthralls. The Publisher, Lisa Walsh desires a magazine that becomes a collector’s item with one in every home, bar, car, office, embassy, library and which also has something for everybody regardless of age, class or creed. The magazine prides itself with reports of trending issues in showbiz, society, pictorial reports of events staged by the high and mighty, hospitality, fashion, automobiles, lifestyle, health, tourism and other beats. Kicking up her heels: Designer Aruna Seth has created a pair of wedges especially for the Jubilee using 3,000 Swarovski crystals

The ultimate in patriotic heels have been unveiled for those who want to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in style.

Designer Aruna Seth made the limited edition 'British shoes' specifically to be worn at Jubilee celebrations this weekend, although the £3,000 price tag for the more elaborate Union flag style suggests they could be destined for show in collections rather than on the dancefloor.

The pricier wedges are covered in more than 3,000 Swarovski crystals, while the pair featuring a Union flag bow on the heel are priced at £1,500.
Seth said the shoes took two weeks to be crafted in northern Italy, with each crystal placed by hand.
Women can be assured that - despite appearances - the shoes are comfortable, with 'plus leather cushioning' supplying 'cashmere-like comfort to feet'.

The British company is no stranger to royalty, with the Duchess of Cambridge’s sister Pippa Middleton wearing Seth’s 'Lynn' sandal to the Buckingham Palace reception after the royal wedding.
Aruna Seth shoes and accessories have also been chosen by Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie and actresses such as Kate Hudson, Goldie Hawn and Katherine Heigl.
The British shoes are currently on display at Harrods in London.

In the interview with Esquire , Rihanna says that she has become accustomed to her antics making headlines. 'The attention is something I’ve learned to ignore,' she says.

'This is what I do. I live my life and they document it. A lot of things I don’t care for people to know, but it just is. That’s what it’s become.'

Some of that attention came with her incredibly controversial decision to record a song with ex-boyfriend Chris Brown, following his felony assault charge against her.

'I thought people were gonna be surprised that we finally did a record together, but I didn’t see how people could think it was a bad thing, you know?' she says. 'In my mind, it was just music.'

Rihanna says she is determined to settle down in five years time. 'Hopefully I’ll have a man by then. I’ve gotta start there, right? But how far I go [with my career] is God’s plan.

'I’m just following through my destiny. I don’t think it ever ends. It just evolves.'

Rumours are circulating though that things may just b heating up again between Rihanna and ex-boyfriend Drake.

The pair, who had a brief fling in 2009, were reportedly seen getting 'hot and heavy' at a Miami nightclub.

Us Weekly claims that Rihanna and Drake were seen holding hands and dancing closely on the dance floor.

The 24-year-old poses in a crochet bra that barely conceals her modesty, and in a very cheeky swimsuit that reveals a whole lot of her posterior, with thigh-high stockings.

For its second edition, bi-monthly publication – Urban Royale Magazine which focuses on the 6 South-South Nigerian states (Edo, Delta, Cross-River, Rivers, Bayelsa & Akwa-Ibom), showcases two delectable Nigerian TV stars – Oreka Godis and Yvonne Vixen Ekwere like never before in its new issue.
This is the second issue after Stella Damasus on its first edition.

It seems just like yesterday when Beat FM Morning Rush radio presenter – Oreka Godis left the Lagos based radio station. Few months after her shocking exit, the Clinical Science degree holder has still managed to be in the public eye. She tells the mag that she is quite the dreamer, one who likes to explore her mind and build on her imaginations ” I am somebody who articulates things in a way that is slightly different from how people are used to hearing certain things. I say this and I borrow this from a TV show; I am victim of my own imagination”. She also talks about her roots and how she has lived in almost all Nigerian states including Benin, Oyo, Zaria, Lagos, Ogun and Kogi.

STV’s Entertainment Weekly TV presenter – Yvonne Ekwere dishes out never before heard details about herself in this tell-all interview. When asked what makes her stand out, the 25 year old said “The fact that I am multi-talented, definitely. People know there is something else to me but they don’t know what it is. I am a singer, rapper, a TV presenter, an actress… I used to write poetry, though I don’t know if I could still do that. You could also say I am a model”.
The screen diva also speaks about growing up, her family, work, coping with the fame and the future. When it came to the topic called love, Yvonne who is currently in a relationship said her ideal man is someone spiritual ” I am a spiritual person as well. I am not a church going, tongue-speaking person but I have a spiritual side. So, he has to have that connection to God somehow”

Also in this edition, newly wedded West Bromwich Albion striker - Osaze Odemwingie, also makes the pages of the magazine. The soviet born Nigerian International footballer speaks to Urban Royale about his life, setbacks in the past and his strings of successes. When asked to talk about himself, the ever smiley Super Eagles said “Uhm.. I would say that I am stubborn, headstrong….an easy flow but not simplistic” I guess fair play and team play has always been my style! I am always humble, friendly and straight but I can be stubborn when not understood and taken for a ride”. He also called Kanu Nwankwo his hero after Nigeria won the Olympic Games in Atlanta, Georgia.

Rivers state born former Miss Nigeria UK – Dabota Lawson reveals exclusively to Nuella Iyoha, her budget beauty secrets. Speaking on his style, the model whose mother – Jane Ekubo is a fashion designer based in Lagos and designed Kanu Nwankwo wife’s (Amarachi) traditional wedding dress said “Growing up, I’ve always been conscious of how I looked and was raised to know that your appearance in public and how people perceive you means a lot, so I always try to keep it together”

There are some shoes that we really have no business flaunting either on a red carpet event or other ub;ic functions that will make people question your sense of style . Below are the top ranking footwear .

Lets start to weed that shoe closet .........

Plastics Clunkers:

These Colorful plastic shoes might be cute on kids but they’re flat out goofy on adults. Water-proof mold-resistant vegan shoes have been cropping up everywhere. They’re fine for a day of boating or fishing, or even working in the kitchen—things they were meant for—but they have spread beyond slippery decks. These chunky, clunky fashion foes instantly dress down any look, and suck out all air of sophistication or class. We support the pursuit of comfortable footwear but these slip-ons are better left on the shelf.

Staggeringly High Stilettos:

Ultra high heels can cause back pain and muscle strain, not to mention corns, calluses and bunions (so not sexy!). We’ll never tell you to give up your Jimmy Choos or Louboutins altogether—sky-high heels are a fashion staple for many-a-stylish woman—but consider the potential damage such seriously high heels are doing to your body. If you spend long days on your feet, consider reserving super-high heels for evenings when you will be doing little more than sitting on a bar stool looking like a million bucks.

Gladiator Sandals:

What was fine in moderation has exploded into an epidemic of mythological proportions! Like the previously mentioned fleece-lined boots, the main problem with gladiator sandals is that they have become too ubiquitous. and when the straps get so complicated that it takes 15 minutes just to slip into your casual summer wear, you know your footwear has gone the “costumey” route.

Cheap Flip-Flops:

They are the ultimate in casual easy-to-wear summer slip-ons. But these inexpensive little rubber sandals offer zero arch support and no protection for your poor battered tootsies. We know you’re saving some cash in terms of summer footwear, but consider the long-term trade-off in healthcare costs. Unless you want to help finance your podiatrist’s summer home, say goodbye to cheap plastic flip-flops year-round.

Platforms for Kids:

Some women have trouble walking around in platforms, so why put a kid through the same torture? While they may seem like a cute idea—particularly for celebrity moms who love to dress up their darling kids for the camera—your little girl is much better off in a pair of classic Mary Janes or sneakers. Save the platforms, high heels and backaches until they have at least 16 candles on their birthday cake.

Super-Flat Ballet Flats:

Nothing is cuter than a pair of black ballet flats paired with skinny jeans and a striped tee (can you say, Audrey Hepburn chic?). But too many days spent in super-flat ballets can do just as much damage to your body as sky-high heels. Super-flat shoes that offer no arch support leave you at risk for fallen arches, bunions and a host of other podiatry nightmares. Instead of stocking up on cheapo ballet flats, find a pair that offers a sturdy sole and sufficient arch support. Your feet (and your hips and back) will thank you for years to come.

Leather “Hippie” Sandals:

While we support giving peace a chance, we can’t get on board with these style-less stalwarts. Much like those plastic clunkers that we so vigorously oppose, leather strapped sandals—the kind with the “cork” bottom—look like something best reserved for a day of gardening or a trip to the beach (preferably when no one is looking). With all of the stylish, fashionable vegan and eco-friendly footwear available, there’s no reason to turn to these tired old soles.

Get-in-Shape Shoes:

These peculiar looking shoes promise to help you get a firm butt, toned calves and solid abs without going anywhere near a gym - and there’s nothing wrong with that. But may we humbly suggest that you relegate these shoes to fitness time only. Resist the urge to wear them when running errands or (eeek!) out on a date. Not only does the chunky heel make them less than sleek, they’re also pretty tipsy when worn for anything other than walking in a straight line. And while many women swear allegiance to these shoes, keep realistic goals in mind when using your “miracle” shoes!

Roller Skate Shoes:

Popular among kids for years, even adults can grab a pair of these free-wheeling sneaks. But while it may seem like fun ( Look ma, no hands) to zip around with wheels on your shoes, it’s dangerous too. Take it from the Journal of the American Academy of Pediatrics. They published a study implicating skate shoes in elbow dislocations, broken hands and other orthopedic injuries. They should come with a warning label: “Helmet, knee pads and wrist guards not included.” To be safe, skip these shoes and go straight to the roller rink!
