Sweet Oatmeal facial Scrub

 Oatmeal is a typical ingredient in facial scrubs and this dressed-up at-home version will make you feel like you’re at the spa.

Ingredients

• 2 tablespoons finely ground oatmeal
• 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
• 2 tablespoons brown sugar
• 1/2 cup almond oil
• 1 teaspoon nutmeg

Instructions

1. Combine all ingredients.
2. Mix well.
3. Apply to wet face, rubbing gently.
4. Rinse well.

Sugar Scrub

Ingredients

• 1 cup granulated sugar
• 1/2 cup almond oil (vegetable works too)
• 10 drops essential oil (optional)

Instructions

1. Mix the sugar and oil until well blended.
2. Add drops of essential oil for fragrance, if desired.
3. Apply the mix to wet skin in a circular motion with hands, washcloth, loofah, sponge or bath glove.
4. Rinse well.

Baking Soda Exfoliate

 Baking soda is extremely mild so it won’t irritate skin, plus almost everyone has it laying around.

Ingredients

• 1-3 Tablespoons Baking Soda
• Water
• Essential oil (optional)

Instructions

1. Combine baking soda with just enough water to make the mixture easy to apply to skin (1-3 tablespoons should do.)
2. Add 1 or 2 drops of essential oil for fragrance, if desired.
3. Apply the mixture with a wash cloth, massaging it into the skin as you scrub.
4. Rinse well.

Sea Salt Scrub

Ingredients

• 1/2 cup sea salt (you can substitute epson)
• 1/2 cup coconut oil (grapeseed and almond work too)
• 10 drops essential oil (optional)

1. Mix the salt and oil until well blended.
2. Add drops of essential oil for fragrance, if desired.

DESIGNER -ESTELLA  OGBONNA GETS HITCHED 

When we saw Kim Kardashian arrive at the RYU opening in New York, the first thing we said was obviously “wow”, which was closely followed by “now where have we seen that dress before?”
We knew we had seen Kim’s sexy black folded Givenchy Resort peplum dress before (and we don’t mean on the catwalk) and then it came to us… the gorgeous Ashley Greene wore it last year to the Paris premiere of Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 1.
Both ladies opted for very similar shoes and black clutch bags, and kept accessories and other colours to a minimum. We do love Kim’s bangles though… they go perfectly with her golden tan!
We liked Kim’s choice to wear her up so as not to interfere with the detailing of the dress, although we can’t really fault Ashley’s look either, so we’re in a bit of a pickle. Help us out?

It’s nothing we haven’t seen before, but Heidi Klum‘s newest nude pictorial — this one for Astor Cosmetics — comes with a whole lot of color.
The supermodel stripped down and then let makeup artist Joanne Gair paint her up for a shoot in honor of the beauty brand’s 60th anniversary.
According to Klum’s blog, it took 12 hours for Gair to apply the intricate body paint. “This was probably close to the 13th time I’ve been body painted by her,” Klum writes. “You have to be good at being patient! I don’t mind sitting still for such a long time, though; it’s a living piece of art that I’m so honored to be a part of.”

Afro-Latina actress Zoe Saldana graces the inaugural issue of Cosmo for Latinas, the glossy’s first foray into trying to tap into one of America’s fastest growing demographics.  In the issue, the Dominican beauty dishes on her early years, the challenges she’s had to overcome, her career, and what it’s like being a woman of color in the industry.
“People think of Latina women as being fiery and fierce, which is usually true. But I think the quality that so many Latinas possess is strength. I’m very proud to have Latin blood,” she told the mag.

Fashion designer Betsey Johnson's company filed for bankruptcy protection Thursday night in New York, following poor performance in its chain of retail stores.
The Chapter 11 filing by Betsey Johnson LLC will see most of the chain's 63 stores close, a person familiar with the matter said. Steven Madden Ltd., which owns the Betsey Johnson license, likely will keep four or five flagships in New York City and a few other cities, the person said.
The company employs about 400 people. Its largest creditors include Haskell Jewels, American Express and FedEx Corp., according to the filing.
In the filing, the company said it started exploring strategic alternatives including a sale in January. The following month, it enlisted the help of Morpheus Capital and Advisors LLC to help it find new equity investors or sell the company, the filing said.
Morpheus reached out to 22 potential buyers and investors. The company was in the final stages of a deal to sell its assets earlier this month when the would-be buyer "abruptly" backed out of the deal, according to papers the company filed with the court. Negotiations with other potential purchasers failed to result in a deal, and the company decided to file Chapter 11 to sell itself to either a buyer that would keep it operating or liquidate its assets.
Ms. Johnson was known for her over-the-top personality, designing clothes with bright neon colors and ending her runway shows by turning cartwheels.
She founded her label in 1978 with former model Chantal Bacon. The brand has since become known for flamboyant fashion shows featuring punk-rock looks, mini dresses, and at times even doubloon-tossing pirates and Playboy Playmates.
The company had outlined plans to have 100 stores in 22 states by 2012.

Cinderella would have never dreamed of rocking a pump from the likes of Christian Louboutin but pretty soon women everywhere will have that chance.
The luxury shoe designer is teaming up with Walt Disney to create his own version of the glass slipper from the classic fairy tale to mark Disney’s rerelease of “Cinderella” this fall. The heel will be revealed officially this summer, and though you’ll likely need to be a princess to afford it, we can’t wait to see what he comes up with. (We’re guessing there won’t be a red bottom.)
This designer match-up rounds out Disney’s wedding day fashion offerings. Already women can wear a gown inspired by one of their favorite fairy tale princesses from the Disney Alfred Angelo wedding dress collection and there’s also a line of Disney princess engagement rings on the market.
