Louis Vuitton's fall 2012 ad campaign picks up where its Paris Fashion Week show left off, aboard an LV Express steam train. Harking back to the enchanting and glamorous era of high-class train travel, Steven Meisel shot a cast of up-and-coming models on the luxury steam train for the latest ad. Mackenzie Drazan, Marie Piovesan, Franzsika Müller, Julia Nobis, Ros Georgiou, Marina Heiden and Elena Bartels donned the label’s latest outerwear, eye-catching bags and over-sized, feather embellished hats with Louis Vuitton luggage to complement the look, of course.

The show harked back to a time when train travel like that aboard the Orient Express was reserved for the upper class and their clothes resembled their wealth in a more gracious, elegant age of travel. 'We're imagining the romance of a better time,' said Jacobs, 48, backstage. 'Whatever you try, clothes never really live in the past. They are worn now so they are modern, with a modern take.'

Longtime Jacobs fan, Sarah Jessica Parker, was among the lucky few seated in the front row. 'It's just sumptuous, and what a spectacle,' said French actress Catherine Deneuve stepping onto the carriage after the show. The latest Louis Vuitton collection proves how the label is setting about recapturing a bygone era when people dressed elegantly for travel with various styles of suitcases.
