Despite her falling of the ramp, Lanre had a spanking collection . Her Spring 2012 collection, “Labour of Love” displayed intricate lacy details of color and vibe. Accessories were also as interesting as the designer spared no shade on the color wheel . Her Victorian edge still showed through - with the Lace fabric being the link . This collection was clearly devoid of bows and volumes and yet it was LDA .

Lisa Folawiyo - designer behind JBL and her team took us on an interesting adventure of fabric- Austrian lace, embellished ankara pieces and watercolor mixes . The quirky edge of the side bent traditional cap - Fila "topped " their accessory list asides the structured clutch bags . We find the designer's unpredictable style rather interesting .

Who says black women can’t wear red lipstick?
The most flattering lip tones will be one or two shades darker than your natural lip color, according to makeup artists....
1. Women with
fair skin, look great in lipstick shades such as nudes in a slightly apricot shade, pinks and light corals. Stay away from browns, which will appear blah.
2. Those with a
medium skin tone can go a bit darker. You’ll look great in roses, mauves and berries. Skip the bright reds and consider a deep burgundy instead.
3. Deep plum, chocolate or red is fabulous with
dark skin.Women with dark skin “can go in one of two directions: toward brown or purple. Think caramel or walnut for day, and plum or wine for evening.”
One big
red lipstick no-no: It’s best not to match lips to your outfit.

Lagos style week is aimed at providing a stage for new and independent designers in their real authentic African look in high definition. With the lack of financial inspiration in the Nigeria urban fashion scene, the
progress of emerging fashion designers are extremely limited and most designers face many trials and tribulations in order to match the success and exposure of that of high fashion designers in Europe and South Africa.Even more so, mainstream designers and labels are limited with international presence.
LSW will be linking Nigeria's best emerging designers with today's top fashion buyers as well as worldwide press coverage and clients.
LSW can ensure collections displayed by designers or labels will be trend-setters
throughout seasons in both inner cities and suburban towns.
The show will be taking place on the 26th and 27th of November and will display the works (10 design pieces) from 5 established and 20 emerging designers over both days @ the Incubator Victoria island Oniru Estate.
