Ten Years? wow, this designer has been honing her skills now for a Decade?
Its so amazing that just a couple of years back, before i cut my teeth in journalism, this talented designer was popularly referred to as the eccentric one, on the grounds of her deep love for the Ankara fabric.
Zizi as she is well known, used the ankara fabric back in the days, to make rather exotic wears from the the ankara when no one would dare give it a second thought. Today, that "eccentric"designer, has been enjoying the lime light with her Haute range of Ethnic designs. Her works, has brought her over dozens of awards, before first ladies of many nations, designer of many first ladies, including the late Maryam Babaginda and top celebs -male and female alike.

In line with a decade of Art and Style, Zizi would be tyeing this event to a cause she is passionate about-violence against women and children. The the tickets for the Zizi Cardow 10th Anniversary Fashion show is out ,buy a ticket and save a life as all proceeds goes to project alert on violence against women and children for details visit (www.projectalertnig.org) : For tickets call 08135387824.

I've always been intrigued by Roman mythology, and so when i heard that Bisola Edun of TAE had a new collection called VENUS, 'fates' decided where i should be- hauling my butt to 15B Oduduwa way, Ikeja G.R.A.
For y'all that don't know, Venus was a major Roman goddess principally associated with love, beauty and fertility, who played a key role in many Roman religious festivals and myths. With a whispered reverent OH MY GOSH, i saw that TAE had no compunctions with bringing this goddess back to life.
Love was principally present with her cute mind blowing dresses, Beauty was abundant with her designs, cuts and embellishments while Fertility grew wings in her volume inspired yet wearable sleeves and full skirts.
Now I'm thinking, won't I be breaking up with my ol' dresses at home for this goddess called VENUS????!!!!
